This is hand marbled paper card or sketch paper. Great for projects or just to frame and put up on the wall.
First we take the paper and sponge on alum water then allow it to dry. Then we add the paint to the water that has been thickened with carrageenan. The carrageenan allows the paint to float on the surface of the water and the alum water allows the paint to stick to the surface of the paper. once you have put the desired amount of paint onto the water you can then create your patterns.
pebbles, are the first step where you drop dots of color onto the water. Then by using different types of combs you can get the feather like patterns swirls, and designs seen on books.
